Hi there! We couldn’t wait to share this incredible story, it’s given so much inspiration to our team! This summer Heidi, one of our amazing realtor partners, shared the terrible and heart-wrenching news of her breast cancer diagnosis! This journey was tough but her positive spirit and perseverance have been so inspirational!

Earlier this summer Heidi was coming up on her annual mammogram and after many negative results over the years almost put it off… Thankfully her daughter, Connery, forced her to go! She left the check-in without much thought until she got a call that there was something abnormal… Heidi faced her toughest moment during the follow-up. “I was inside that machine, surrounded by doctors, but I felt completely alone. I literally couldn’t stop crying, just tears pouring down my face.” This was so heartbreaking…

One of the core values of our team is our culture of caring for one another in the most challenging times! We rallied behind this amazing woman and flooded her with love and support! “My daughter was wearing this pink sweater in the summer heat, it’s like 100 degrees! So I’m thinking to myself ‘What the heck are you wearing that for?’ Then she brought up this video of 200+ people all dressed in pink cheering me on with signs saying ‘Team Heidi’. I just lost it, at that moment I didn’t feel alone.”

The best news from this story is that October 11th is now a special day for our team! This is the day that Heidi finished her last radiation treatment and rang the bell to mark the occasion! The most inspiring thing is that she didn’t skip a beat in her service to families! She stayed positive and helped an astounding 15 families during treatment!
