Some moments in life make you feel like you’ve come full circle. They remind us just how much love, support, and care can shape not only who we are, but who we become for others.

I had this feeling just the other day when my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, we were lucky enough to spend time with my niece, Ruby, and her newborn baby girl, Lily. Holding that tiny little girl in my arms, I was instantly brought back to the moment Ruby was born. It was a time filled with both uncertainty and hope.

She was born prematurely and faced serious medical challenges right from the start. But thanks to the incredible care provided by those amazing doctors and nurses, she beat all the odds. They didn’t just care for her, they wrapped their arms around our entire family, lifting us up through a scary and uncertain time. Now, all these years later, that same baby girl has grown into a remarkable woman, and was inspired to become an ER nurse. She gives back that same love and support to other families walking their own hard paths.

As we sat with Ruby and Lily, I was reminded of the incredible heroes who show up every day with heart to care for others. We see that spirit in the incredible team at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas which is why we’re passionate about giving back and help make their mission possible! They provide world-class research and life-saving treatment for babies and kids just like Ruby and it’s an honor to help make their work possible.
