As we step into this season of gratitude, our hearts at EmpowerHome Team are full. Each year, we participate in a meaningful activity in our community to serve with purpose, show love in action, and support families across Colorado in meaningful ways.

This year, we saw a growing need as colder weather settled in and many families found themselves without warm clothing for the winter. That is why our team came together for a communitywide Winter Coat Drive, gathering coats, jackets, hats, gloves, and other essentials to help families stay warm and cared for during the coming months.

Our team spent the day collecting, sorting, and preparing donations for a local day shelter that walks alongside individuals and families facing hardship. This organization, often referred to as Mission Arvada, offers daily support such as meals, warm clothing, showers, and connection to essential resources. While our families span the entire Front Range, the heart behind this effort reaches far beyond one location. It is about caring for our neighbors with dignity, warmth, and compassion. The energy was inspiring as everyone stepped in with open hands and open hearts. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. It is about showing up for families in moments that matter. It is about living out our mission with everything we do. Mission First. People Always.

What made this day so meaningful was not just the coats or the bags of winter essentials. It was the heart behind it all. Every item sorted reminded us that families in our community face seasons of struggle, and being able to lighten their load, even a little, is an opportunity to give support that we do not take for granted.
