Mind Your Mom! 

Every May that I sit down to write Homeward Bound Newsletter, I write about Mother’s Day. And why not? It marks such a special day for so many special people! This year we are celebrating Mother’s Day with EmpowerHome Team Atlanta’s very own, Lauren Woodling our amazing Director of Operations!

Just a few weeks ago Lauren gave birth to a beautiful baby boy! Little baby Smith has us all smitten and we know that Lauren will be a stellar mother! As we celebrate the arrival of this precious baby boy, it’s also important to take a moment to appreciate all the hardworking mothers out there. Being a mother is often a selfless, yet so incredibly rewarding journey that comes with numerous responsibilities, sacrifices, and challenges. Whether it’s staying up all night with a sick child or juggling work and family life, mothers always manage to make it all work with a smile on their faces.

On this Mother’s Day, let’s take a moment to honor and appreciate all the mothers out there for their unconditional love, strength, and resilience. I hope you’ll join me, wherever you are, in giving a huge shoutout to all Moms – Happy Mother’s Day!

Plus we support Turning Point Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, a worthy cause that’s near and dear to me since I was able to personally use the rehab center during my 2nd diagnosis. TurningPoint’s clinic provides specialized and evidence-based rehabilitation for individuals with breast cancer, including physical therapy, exercise, lymphedema management, massage therapy, counseling, and nutritional counseling. TurningPoint offers a wide variety of educational programs on topics related to breast cancer survivorship for patients and caregivers. The collaboration of clinical services provides each woman (and man) with hope, support, and education in an atmosphere of wellness.
