Mind your Mom!

Every May that we put together the Homeward Bound Newsletter, we make it about Mother’s Day. And why not? It marks such a special day for so many special people! Many of us can relate to having memories of our moms always telling us to do this or to do that, or to not do this or that… we may not have been able to recognize this when we were young, but upon reflecting now, you can probably recall so much valuable advice.

Time truly does reveal just how much every caring Mother is a wise woman, so it’s very easy to see why there is such a special day carved out every year to acknowledge Moms. Maybe you are like EmpowerHome’s CEO Sarah Reynolds, who has had the opportunity to work alongside her mom, and founder of EmpowerHome, Debbie Reynolds. Or maybe you have just had the pleasure of learning & experiencing many important life lessons from your mom throughout the years.

Either way, we hope you’ll join us, wherever you are, in giving a huge shoutout to ALL Moms – Happy Mother’s Day!

And while I have your attention, we are still on a mission to raise $1,000,000 for Love Gives, Fisher House Foundation, and OTHER Worthy Causes.

Love Gives is an amazingly worthy cause that started off as a one week fundraiser with no particular family in mind to raise money for adopting a child. There are many, many families out there that would love to adopt a child that doesn’t have a home, that doesn’t have a family, but they don’t have the resources to be able to afford it. And what Love Gives does is they come alongside that family and they help them raise the money to provide a home, and of course and most special, a family for the child. I’m not sure of a greater worthy cause in terms of literally changing a child’s trajectory, changing a child’s life. Why I’m talking about Love Gives, one of the things at EmpowerHome Team is that we align with worthy causes that are local to this community.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Raving Fans who continue to support us and introduce us to family and friends who are looking to sell a home. It’s because of you that we’re able to donate to Worthy Causes and impact even more families.
