Hi! I hope your year is going well! I’m reaching out today because I just have to share a touching story :). One of our team members recently spoke to me about her father’s adoption journey. It was so touching that I just had to share! I hadn’t realized just how much of an influence this was on her decision to join our team! As you know, I was adopted myself so this reached me deeply!

Sabina joined the team not too long ago and has been amazing to mentor and work with. We had been talking about our worthy cause of supporting adopting families in Colorado, and she brought up that when she was looking for realty teams to work with, this giveback mission was a big driver for her joining ours. Not only does she get to impact the lives of families looking to buy and sell homes, but she is able to impact the lives of families wanting to build a family of their own, many of who are not be able to get pregnant. You see, her father was adopted by her grandparents when he was very young, finding a new and loving home gave him an irreplaceable strong foundation to grow from and led to a successful career, and building a loving family of his own to grow and thrive.

My passion for supporting adopting families stems from my own experience. I was adopted as a baby, and growing up, my mom was a quiet behind-the-scenes force who was always there for my brother and I. My dad was a supportive and loving force and he gave me strength and resilience. Witnessing the love, support, and sense of belonging that adoption brought to my life firsthand, and that of my adopted granddaughter (who will be turning 5 this year!), I know personally of the lasting impact it can have on everyone. This has given me a strong desire to help give a loving home to other children, just as I received.

So why am I telling you this? Adoption organizations play a vital role in connecting prospective parents with children who are longing for a stable and supportive home. With each introduction you give we donate a portion of our income to support adopting families and are able to transform countless lives. The compassion, support, and guidance you provide not only benefit the children, but also the families who are eager to open their hearts and homes. Helping families and also fighting for them through the purchase or sale of a home is an incredible responsibility that we don’t take lightly!
