She opened Sweetz in 2009 after a lifelong interest in the culinary arts. From childhood, she fancied cooking for her friends and family and was praised for her natural-born talent. This enthusiasm for baking made her set her sights on culinary school to become a chef. Unfortunately, she was taken out of the kitchen due to family circumstances, which instead led her to have a successful career as a CPA.

Still, she was drawn to the kitchen even though her career took her down a different path. Because of this, she maintained a dual-career as an accountant while also honing in on her baking skills with the goal of one day opening her very own shop. She’s one phenomenal person!

Seasonal flavors, pastries entirely handmade from scratch, and gluten-free and vegan options also separate this bakery from others. Trang knows the struggle of people with gluten allergies, as her son was born with this ailment. She knew that this was something she had to incorporate into her bakery to allow people with food restrictions to still enjoy tasty treats! Can you believe she went through 30 different chocolate cupcake recipes before she brought it to the bakery? She strives for the highest quality—and it shows!
